Wish Wrap® creator, Karen Thompson, believes in the power of writing down wishes, dreams and goals.
Karen, a successful entrepreneur, would often discover scraps of paper with an idea or goal she had jotted down stuffed in her pocket. The realization that the simple act of writing things down was her first step in setting and achieving her goals, Karen was inspired to create the Wish Wrap®.
Karen’s hope is to inspire women to “think big”. The Wish Wrap® features a Wish Pocket™, a patent pending pocket within a pocket design, and includes a Wish Card on which to write down wishes and dreams. Each Wish Wrap® color is associated with an inspiration or intention. The super soft, cozy wrap is an affordable luxury to wear at home or out on the go.
The Wish Wrap® was introduced in 2008 as a “best seller” item in Karen’s retail shops along with select distribution to specialty boutiques.

Who is Karen Thompson?
Karen Thompson, creator of the Wish Wrap® is a successful wife, mother, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Thompson is a believer in wishes and writing down goals and desires. “Anything is possible with vision, some paper and a driven desire”
The Wish Wrap® - designed by Karen Thompson - features a wish pocket™ containing a wish card on which to write a wish. The idea is to encourage people to believe in the power of a wish and the power of writing it down as the first step to making things happen.
Thompson was inspired at an early age watching her parents run a business. She had a passion for fashion and as a young woman she always dreamed of opening a dress store. She started her retail career working for Bamberger’s Department Store (now Macy’s) at a mall in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. She started as a manager and then moved into buying. Eventually, she took on a wholesale position for a company in New York City.
She spent the early years of her career honing her retail industry experience and education, all while holding on to her dream of opening her own store. Thompson made that dream a reality in 1988 when she opened her first store – Lace Silhouettes Lingerie - in Fountainville, Pennsylvania. More than 35 years later, Thompson’s company has grown to multiple locations across the east coast.
Karen Thompson created Wish Wrap® in 2008 – with the hope of inspiring others. “I wanted to create something that could help people carry their dreams with them. Something to remind people of their passions and provide comfort when needed. Something they can take with them anywhere and everywhere in life.”
Thompson believes no wish is too big. “Some wishes have come true. Some have not - not everything happens. It’s okay if it’s not crossed off the list. Things change, people’s goals change and that’s okay. It’s all for a reason.” Always looking ahead and thinking of the next idea, Karen continues to write down her wishes.
